The UCL Institute of Education has introduced a new master's degree for 2015 that may be of interest to professional body staff.
The Professional Education and Training MA is aimed at those with management roles in both the private and public sector, including those working in professional education.
The Institute website states that the master's course will:
- give you critical insight into a range of theories, perspectives and approaches for studying policies and practices in professional education and training in a range of contexts and how you might apply these in your workplace
- develop your understanding of the concept of expertise and the contribution of professional education and work experience in developing expertise to support outstanding individual and team performance
- develop your understanding of conceptual and analytical frameworks in professional education and training and how they can be used to develop expertise in different contexts
- enable you to acquire knowledge, skills and confidence to operate, manage and lead effectively and creatively in diverse and changing institutions and organisations at local, national and international level
