Research into Internationalisation

Research into Internationalisation

Our newest research project on internationalisation will investigate a variety of ways that that professional bodies can develop their presence and their membership in countries other than their home nation.

This project is being supported by two of our PARN Members:

Using a combination of survey and case study interviews, the research will tackle:

  • The different ways that internationalisation can be pursued
  • The circumstances in which certain approaches work best
  • Dealing with national competitors
  • Partnerships and joint ventures
  • The effects of new technologies and social media
  • Internal systems and resources needed for success
  • Risks involved in pursuing internationalisation
