The Recruitment and Employment Confederation (REC) have opened nominations for six positions on its council, the governing body of the organisation.
Nominations are being sought for four non-executive directors to represent corporate members, and two non-executive directors to represent individual members of the Institute of Recruitment Professionals (IRP).
Elected nominees will become part of a council of 24 non-executive directors, of which 17 represent corporate members and seven represent the IRP.
Neil Smith MBE, managing director of Kinetic plc and REC chairman, said: "As the largest professional body for our industry, the REC needs its council to make sure that the interests of recruiters are always at the heart of strategic decisions. Council members have the opportunity to influence the direction of campaigns to drive up industry standards, and to contribute to future success of the UK’s recruitment industry. It’s vital that the council includes a variety of perspectives, so I would encourage members to put themselves or their colleagues forward for this important role.”
