Landscape Institute seeking new CEO

The Landscape Institute is the UK Royal Chartered body for professional practitioners in landscape design, management, planning and science. It is a registered charity dedicated to protecting, conserving and enhancing the natural and built environment. It has a membership of just under 6000 who work in rural and urban environments, in public and private sectors and in the UK and abroad.  

They are currently recruiting for a new Chief Executive Officer.


About This Role

Job Title:   Chief Executive Officer
Contract:   Full Time
Salary:       £65-70k
Location:   London

The Institute’s Secretariat works closely with volunteer members who serve on the Board, the Council and Committees.  The Institute are seeking a new CEO who will lead and manage the operational side of the Institute whilst helping to develop and implement future strategy.  They are looking for someone who can build on our record in promoting our work and raising our profile to a wider audience.  In addition, They are also seeking someone who can manage change effectively and help to progress our ambitions to expand our membership.

The successful candidate will be an excellent  operational manager with strong strategic, communication and networking skills.  An awareness of the environmental, political and commercial issues that relate to landscape and experience of working at a senior level in a member-based organisation would be advantageous.
