British Acupuncture Council joins PARN

We are pleased to announce that the British Acupuncture Council (BAcC) has become a member of PARN!

About BAcC

BAcC is the UK's largest professional body for the practice of acupuncture with a membership of 3,000 professionally qualified acupuncturistst.

BAcC members practice a traditional, holistic style of acupuncture diagnosis and treatment based on a system developed and refined over 2,000 years.  To achieve BAcC membership, practitioners must first undertake extensive training in acupuncture (minimum three years full-time), which includes physiology, anatomy and other bio medical sciences appropriate to the practice of acupuncture.

Nick Pahl has been chief executive of the BAcC since January 2011, following the retirement of Mike O'Farrell. Regarding his leadership, he said:

'I work to ensure that the BAcC continues to meet the needs of practitioners and patients and to maintain high standards for the profession.'
