Landscape Institute (LI) President Merrick Denton-Thompson has announced the appointment of Daniel Cook as its new chief executive officer to provide fresh leadership and drive forward its aim to broaden membership, particularly internationally.
Daniel Cook was previously director of strategy and planning at RICS. He joined the organisation in London in 2008. Before that he had worked as chief of staff and advisor to a number of ministers in the NSW State Government, Australia.
Merrick Denton-Thompson said: “We are excited to have secured Daniel for this important role. He is an energetic leader and a thought leader with an excellent track record of turning insight into strategy. He understands the changing dynamics impacting on professional membership organisations operating across both the natural and built environment.
