The IoL Educational Trust, the language qualification awarding body of the Chartered Institute of Linguists (CIOL), has announced a new agreement to deliver language examinations on behalf of the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO).
The agreement follows the opening of the Foreign Office Language Centre in 2014, providing language training for diplomats as well as other government departments, and the opening of the Defence Academy Language Centre, signalling an upturn in the commitment of Government to the importance of languages for defence, security and diplomacy.
With years of experience in providing qualifications in a wide range of languages, IoLET proved the top choice to deliver the FCO's qualifications.
Ann Carlisle, Chief Executive of CIOL and IoET, said: ‘We are very excited to be working with the FCO. We have a history of working together in the past and have great pleasure to be doing so again.’
