We would like to
invite you to the first Accreditation SIG meeting of the 2024 Calendar.
Should you experience
any issues or have any questions regarding the Accreditation SIG, please contact Alex Witt and if you are a non-member and would like to attend the Accreditation SIG, please contact Rhiannon Cooper to discuss the options available for you.
This meeting will consider:
- How to approach and engage students during the accreditation process
- Motivating students on accredited courses to engage the respective professional association.
- How to encourage students to become or retain membership with their professional association upon acquiring their qualification.
We have invited three speakers to present at the event:
Thomas Benson
As the Student Membership Lead at the Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC), Thomas will discuss how to engage students to promote membership.
Zara Green
As a Project Manager at Ecctis, Zara will be discussing how Ecctis can support professional bodies' accreditation schemes, providing an overview of their services. Zara will also provide a discussion on the importance of ensuring students understand the process and significance of accreditation and accredited qualifications and what this means for students.
Antonia Lanyiova
In the role of Qualifications Liaison Manager at the Chartered Institute of Builders (CIOB), Antonia will discuss the CIOB’s engagement model that targets students and academics.
As always, after each speaker we will have time for a Q&A session following by a segment to provide opportunities for discussion.
