With over 3,000 members, the British Acupuncture Council (BAcC) is the UK’s largest professional body for traditional acupuncturists. Membership of the BAcC guarantees excellence in training, safe practice and professional conduct. As a self-regulatory body for traditional acupuncture it is imperative that the practitioners on our register are fit to practise, that is have the skills, knowledge and character to practise acupuncture safely and effectively.

About the role

Job Title: Panel Members
Location: London 
Remeuneration: £100 for half day or £200 for a full day
 

The Professional Standards Team investigate disciplinary concerns and complaints concerning our members who practise acupuncture. The BAcC require a pool of members if and when required for the following: Investigating, Interim Orders, Professional Conduct and Competence and Appeals Panel.

We are looking for fair-minded and logical individuals to assist the BAcC with the Disciplinary Process. It is essential for public protection and confidence in acupuncture that we have access to a wide range of expertise on our committees.

Do you possess any of these skills/qualities?

  • Are you able to analyse and interpret complex information and evidence in an impartial way?
  • Do you have the ability to articulate clear, well-founded reasons for any decision made and argue a coherent position, including when taking a different point of view?
  • Do you possess team working skills? (ability to support others, work constructively and have regard for the views of others including willingness to consider advice)
