The Nuclear Institute (NI) is a registered charity and is the learned society and professional membership body for the Nuclear Industry. The NI conducts educational and outreach activities, organises events and conferences, produces a respected industry journal and supports the professionalism of our members and the industry. The NI works closely with other organisations within the industry, and is licensed by the Engineering and Science Councils to register professionals as Chartered Engineers and Scientists. The NI benefits from its active volunteer membership and a dedicated headquarters team based in Piccadilly, London.  

 

About the role

Job Title: Membership & Education Officer
Salary: £25,000
Location: London (Piccadilly)

The successful candidate will be responsible for the company membership function of the Nuclear Institute. This role is key to supporting our non-professional (Associate and Affiliate) members as well as our organisational members. As well as membership, the postholder is expected to support our wider education and training activities including developing the approval of in-house programmes. This is a developmental role that will appeal to someone who has membership experience and is keen to take on the next step in broadening their expertise.

The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years’ membership experience, will excel in customer relations and have an enthusiastic, outgoing personality. Experience of accreditation/approval schemes would be advantageous.
