About the role

Job Title: Lay Members for CIMA Conduct Committees
Location: UK
Fee: £340 per day for attendance at meetings, plus reasonable expenses
Time Commitment: Seven to Ten days a year 

CIMA is recruiting lay members, including vice chairs, to its independent conduct committees (investigation, disciplinary and appeal). The vice-chair of the Appeals Committee must have a legal qualification.

Applications must be able to evaluate often complex issues logically and impartially and have the ability and confidence to promote an independent view at meetings and public hearings. Applicants must demonstrate a commitment to acting in the public interest and be able to make decisions, working as part of a team.

Applicants seeking appointment as a vice chair, must be able to manage hearings, lead discussions and teams. The time commitment is likely to be between seven and ten days a year. Committee members will be entitled to a fee of £340 per day for attendance at meetings, plus reasonable expenses. Induction training will be provided.
