Job Title: Chief Executive Officer
Location: Kegworth, East Midlands
With experience of the energy industry, a professional institution and/or a professional membership body, the person appointed will have the credibility and determination to take up this high profile role. The person appointed will be highly self-motivated, have excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to lead and motivate a team of dedicated and committed staff with a variety of specialist skills.
The CEO will be expected to deliver the institution’s strategy and position IGEM so that it acts as a trusted advisor to policy makers, develop new products and services for members and potential growth markets.
The CEO should have presence, the ability to build relationships with and influence senior external stakeholders. An appreciation of charity law as applicable to a professional engineering institution would be advantageous. The successful candidate will be appointed for a fixed, renewable term contract on a salary that reflects the demands of the position.
This is an exciting time to be joining IGEM as the Institution positions itself as an advocate on behalf of the industry and its role in meeting the UK Climate change targets as well as acting as spokesperson in communicating the engineering innovation that is currently taking place across the industry. As a professional membership body there is also a focus on driving membership growth, increasing the member value proposition and creating opportunities to diversify and further develop IGEM’s products and services
