On 29 January, the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI) held their annual awards ceremony, acclaiming the best performances in the CISI examinations.
Eighty-six top performers from around the world in CISI exams were recognised at the Institute’s annual awards. The Institute’s qualifications attract over 37,000 exam entries each year, in 74 countries.
Awards were given in 56 categories. The winners came from a range of firms, Barclays leading the way with four of its employees picking up prizes.
18 prizewinners came from overseas, including India, UAE, Oman, Singapore, Sri Lanka, the Philippines and, for the first time, South Korea.
In the UK, Scotland performed particularly well, with five award winners.
CISI Director of Learning Lydia Romero said: “Many congratulations to all of our candidates who have demonstrated the value of hard work in reaching their goals. Combining study with full-time or part-time employment is no mean feat and requires tremendous focus and tenacity. Thanks also to the candidates’ employers for their support throughout their studies.”
The CISI’s mission is to help members attain, maintain and develop their knowledge and skills and to promote standards of ethics and integrity in the securities and investment industry. The CISI sets examinations and offers qualifications for those working, or looking to establish a career in, the wealth management and capital markets industry.
