About the Equality, Diversity & Inclusion SIG

In response to the Black Lives Matter campaign, PARN have created a new EDI Special Interest Group (SIG). Our aim is for staff of professional bodies to learn from experts in their fields at regular online events, gain access to a wealth of relevant resources, and support each other in tackling EDI issues within their organisations.

We are delighted to have a Steering Group who bring such passion and experience to the SIG:

Previous Meetings

The first meeting of the membership year took place on Wednesday 18th November, 11am-12:30pm: EDI challenges and solutions facing smaller membeship bodies.

The purpose of this event was to share ideas and solutions being adopted by small membership bodies to tackling Equality, Diversity and Inclusion issues. Members asked questions to an expert panel, who included:
- Claire Harvey; ex Paralympian and Head of EDI at KPMG
- Kulbir Shergill; Director of Social Inclusion at Warwick University

The inaugural meeing of the EDI SIG is took place on 14th October, 11am-12pm.

This was an opportunity for PARN members and non-members to learn from an incredible key speaker, and hear from the Steering Group who shared their experiences and key tips for tackling EDI issues within their organisations. We hope this meeting demonstrates the value of joining the SIG and inspires you to join, so you can better tackle EDI issues within your organisation.
