The CSP Charitable Trust is an independent charitable organisation. It supports physiotherapy education and research through annual awards to members. Established in 1980, the Trust provides funding for research projects (for both novice and experienced researchers) and support for a range of professional development activities. The Charitable Trust now has a Lay Trustee vacancy to fill. The appointee will become a full, voting member of the CSP Charitable Trust, for an initial term of three years and will be eligible for re-appointment by Trustees for a further term of three years.

About the role

Are you keen to be part of the development of physiotherapy education and research?  

  • Can you put forward the viewpoint of patients and the public?
  • Do you have experience of committee work and can you contribute effectively to discussions and decision making?
  • Have you worked alongside health professionals?
  • Personal experience of physiotherapy services would be desirable.

We are particularly interested in seeking someone with strong skills/knowledge in one or more of the following areas:

Business development
Independent scrutiny
Principles of public life
Working as a Trustee or for a charity

You might have gained your skills and experience in a variety of settings, including employment and voluntary work.

Please note, we are not seeking a physiotherapist for this role.

Charitable Trust meetings are held in central London, normally three times a year. Travel expenses are reimbursed.
