This course will cover all aspects of membership management, from working effectively with member networks, where maintaining consistency, quality and control are key elements, to looking in some detail at engaging and interacting with members. The course will also cover membership value, retention, segmentation and communication. Membership Development will provide the essential tools for anyone working for a professional body who has a membership remit.

According to our members, it takes six months to a year for staff who are new to the sector to understand what professional bodies do and how they are distinctive from private and public sector organisations. This is a fantastic opportunity for new staff or those who have changed roles to learn about what makes working for a professional body different from working for private, public or other third sector organisations.

Come along to our next Regulation & Legal SIG meeting, available to all PARN members. The theme for this meeting will be Certificates of Good Standing and Being Complained About – Good Practice and Guidelines.

Develop and manage strategies to raise the ethical standards of members or registrants through positive supports for ethical codes and competence.

The day will focus on the opportunities and challenges that internationalism presents to professional bodies. This event will provide opportunities for discussion, case studies and advice on the shifting nature of the sector's relationship with the rest of the world. Delegates will hear PARNs latest research into International Issues at Professional Bodies as well as workshop sessions and time for networking with professional body colleagues.
