Why choose PARN Training?

Why choose PARN Training?

PARN courses have been developed to meet the serious lack of training and CPD designed specifically for those working for professional bodies. Here’s a few reasons why your organisation should consider our new Training Courses…

We understand why the professional body sector is unique
We’ve spent the last 15 years conducting research and consulting on a range of issues that professional and regulatory bodies have to deal with. We know that working for a professional body is not the same as working for a private sector firm or for government, distributing charity or for other membership organisations.

We can get your new staff up to speed quickly
Many of our members have told us that when they take on new staff from outside the professional bodies sector, it takes them 6 months to a year to figure out what working for a professional body is all about. Our Training Courses can help equip your staff with the knowledge and insight they need to succeed.

Our courses are tailored to meet the needs of your staff.  We've designed a range of courses to support many of the aspects of working for a professional body which are special and need to be appreciated in order for your staff to hit the ground running when they come to this sector.

Our courses help integrate staff in specialist roles

You might have staff in parts of your professional body who are isolated from the rest of the organisation and who need a more in-depth understand of the sector or specific functions, for example those working in finance or IT and even marketing.

Even relatively small organisations have a tendency for people to work in departments which can often operate as though they are isolated silos.  These courses help staff in these roles to break out of their silo in two ways, firstly by understanding and interacting with others performing similar roles in the sector and secondly by understanding how their roles fit with the overall aims and mission of their professional body.

It’s good to benchmark your organisational practices
It’s easy to fall into the trap of ‘reinventing the wheel’, simply because you might not be aware of what other organisations have been doing. Our courses use our benchmarking research and models of professional body practice which have been developed by PARN and put into practice through our consultancy services.

Each course also provides opportunities for small group work with those working in other professional bodies in roles similar to your own.

We can deliver bespoke in-house training
We can also offer tailored in-house training for group bookings at discounted rates, enabling your staff to learn in the comfort of your own office.
