The Future of the Professions in Scotland event

The Future of the Professions in Scotland event

Topic: The Future of the Professions in Scotland
            Discussing the relationship between Scotland’s
            political leaders and professional bodies

Date: Thursday, 17 March 2011

Time:  9am to 2.30pm

Location: The Law Society of Scotland, Edinburgh

This event will look at the PARN Manifesto and White Paper in relation to Scottish professional bodies.

The PARN Manifesto sets out a single priority for the new British government to ensure that the full range of advice and expertise the professions can provide is used for the good of the economy and general public.

The PARN Manifesto has undergone several revisions, received endorsement by 40 professional bodies representing over 1 million professionals and has led to the development of the supporting White Paper.

This event will discuss both the Manifesto and White Paper aiming to develop a strategy to raise the profile of Scottish professional bodies and ensure effective communications between them and government.

The Law Society of Scotland and PARN would like to invite you to this FREE event to give Scottish professional bodies a chance to participate, influence, shape and lobby for a project plan to develop an office for the professions in Scotland.
