Support networks: how they can help your members and your profession

Support networks: how they can help your members and your profession

This FREE workshop will take place from 10.00 to 14.00 (including lunch) on 29 September at the Institute of Physics.  It will look at the experiences of professionals from under-represented groups, and how professional bodies can engage these members through support networks.

We will discuss:
• What support networks are
• Why they’re important
• How they work
• What you need to get started

The workshop will combine presentations from individuals from under-represented groups, case studies of professional bodies who have successfully organised support networks for these groups, and interactive discussions to help you progress, or begin thinking about, the support networks you offer your members.
