PARN is pleased to announce that in December 2011 we set up a new Strategy & Advisory Board to support and challenge us as an organisation to:
- Assess, support and challenge strategic plans
- Help monitor the progress of PARN in fulfilling plans
- Assess directions and ideas for business development
- Evaluate financial viability and risk management in the context of PARN's mission, vision and values
Our Strategy & Advisory Board members are:
Simon Sperryn
has 25 years experience as CEO of business representative bodies at
local, regional and national level.
As a professional lobbyist, he is
used to working at the interface of public and private sectors. He
worked as the CEO of the London Chamber of Commerce and Industry for 10
years and was also a director of the British Chambers of Commerce and
Industry.
As a keen supporter of vocational education, he has served on a
wide range of governing bodies, including schools, colleges, training
councils, industry partnerships and a business school.
Graham Briscoe
has worked in many "management services" roles throughout his 30 year
career with Royal & SunAlliance in Bristol, Horsham and Liverpool.
Since retirement in 2004 has developed his "Community Investment" support activities with
Lectureships in Higher Education / Universities, Governor roles on
Further Education College Corporations, Charity Trustee, Professional
Institute Councils and Housing Association Board appointments.
Rob Strange OBE became Chief Executive of IOSH in 2001, but he initially joined the Institution in1997 as Deputy Chief Executive. Rob has overseen over eleven years
of unprecedented growth in membership numbers and financial
performance, four strategic plans, two extensions to head office, a
new customer relationship management system, the introduction of
individual Chartered membership and the development a new corporate
governance structure.
He’s been interviewed for numerous TV and
radio broadcasts and chaired parliamentary dinners and conferences,
speaking on a range of topics including health and safety,
governance, outsourcing and membership development. Rob is also a Trustee and a Non Executive Director of several boards.
