Social Networking

Social Networking
We wanted to understand how today’s professionals are engaging with social networking technologies, with a particular interest in how their interaction translate from the home to work environment.

In our Fast Facts report, we present a selection of our findings from 7,000+ professionals we surveyed about their use and perception of social networking.

About the research

In 2009, PARN surveyed 7000+ professionals and 26 professional bodies in order to gather views on member networks - asking the questions...

  • How are professionals using social networking techologies?
  • What do professionals expect from their professional body?
  • What technologies have worked?
  • What have professional bodies learnt?

All participating professional bodies received a report comparing their members’ responses with the overall sample.

The project sponsors received in-depth analysis reports containing case studies of individual professional bodies' experiences with social networking.

We also held a PARN Conference on the subject:
The Future of Member Networks: Embracing Social Networking Technologies
