Latest News › PARN e-publishes Stan Lester's Advanced Designations and Awards
|
PARN has published the latest research by Stan Lester, author of Routes and Requirements for becoming professionally qualified (2008). "Professional Bodies' Advanced Designations and Awards" is a complement to this previous work, and together is important for professional bodies because it is a step further in the development of a common language of the professions.
This research will only be published electronically. PARN Members can download the PDF for FREE in the 'Member Resources' section of the Members Area. Non-members can purchase the PDF for £10 by clicking here.
Stan's article will allow those in one profession to understand the situation of colleagues in other professions. Eventually it will help potential recruits to professions to understand what is required both to enter and to progress in different professions. It will help clients and employers, and potential clients and employers, to understand the bewildering array of designations, titles and postnominals the professions use.
Dr Stan Lester is a consultant, researcher and systems developer in professional and vocational development and accreditation. More information about his work can be found at www.devmts.co.uk
