Member Networks Round Table
Wednesday 26 May 2010, 2:00-4:30pm
The IET, Savoy Place, London
Our vision: A meeting of minds, where professional bodies with some existing experience of building professional networks for their members engage in sharing ideas and experiences facilitated by research and practice professionals. This is an opportunity for professional body leaders in member network development to share their experiences and discuss what best practice means in this area, as part of an ongoing process in this area that PARN and i-Publishing are committed to supporting.
Our goal: To address key issues that professional bodies face in further developing, and capitalising on the success of, their member networks: What are the real implications of moderation in terms of time and effort? How do you know when you’ve been successful – is it the number of participants, the quality of responses, an increase in event or publication sales? Does the level of activity in your member networks directly affect member retention? How can you encourage an existing professional group to move to your platform and “bring the conversation home”?
PARN and i-Publishing will be hosting a second Round Table in London on 23rd June for a more open and broad discussion on areas of interest to professional bodies of all levels of experience.
For further information, or to book a place at the 26th May or 23rd June roundtable, email dyon@parnglobal.com or telephone 0117 928 1992.
