26 January 2010, 10.00-14.00 (including lunch)
ICAEW offices in Central London
Context
As a consequence of the presentations from Ruth Hunt of Stonewall and discussions at the “Equal Outreach” Forum, it was apparent that many organisations are in need of guidance on how to approach issues around sexual orientation and religion and beliefs. Should organisations be monitoring this aspect of their membership? PARN’s 2009 International Benchmarking Survey (IBS) found that only 5% of organisations request information from their membership on sexual orientation or religion/beliefs (as opposed to 74% who request information on age and 73% on gender). This workshop will look at how you can start engaging with members on these issues.
