This course will give participants a comprehensive understanding of
what CPD is and the range of issues that arise when managing CPD
policies and programmes for a professional body.
With a focus on how CPD is organised in the professional bodies sector and how it impacts on members and other stakeholders, this course is designed to help participants raise the credibility of their professional body through CPD.
The course focuses on 4
themes:

to CPD: Benchmarking your approach to CPD
- Critical issues: Dealing with members
- Measurement and Audit: Inputs vs Outputs
- CPD and
relations: Employers & HEIs

Delivery & Materials
The day will combine
a mix of interactive sessions, video case studies, presentations and time for
individual reflection. Start time is 9:30am and end time 5:00pm with tea,
coffee and lunch provided.
Course is delivered
by Prof Andy Friedman, CEO at PARN and Tina Williams, Head of Research at
PARN.
The course text is CPD: Lifelong Learning of Millions by Friedman (2011) and a copy of this book
will be supplied. In addition, you will receive a Training Folder full of
supplementary information to support your learning on this topic, along with
copies of course slides and case studies.
